Groundsperson
Principle Responsibilities and Position Purpose
The Groundsperson is responsible for maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of outdoor property areas to ensure a safe, welcoming, and visually appealing environment for guests and staff. This position supports daily grounds maintenance operations, seasonal landscaping, and general exterior property care throughout the resort.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, walkways, parking areas, and outdoor guest spaces
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, watering, planting, and weed control
- Remove trash, debris, snow, and ice from outdoor areas as needed
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance and outdoor projects
- Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance concerns
- Support setup and breakdown of outdoor events and activities when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance and storage areas
- Follow safety procedures and company standards
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and management teams
Qualifications
Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not required. Must have a strong work ethic, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and possess a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and equipment operation is beneficial.
