Groundsman/Laborer

Job Responsibilities

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Able to identify and prevent on-site hazards by ensuring work areas are clearly marked with cones, signs, etc.
• Gather and carry brush to the truck/chipper
• Load and unload logs, brush, debris, etc. with or without the use of machinery
• Able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain, etc.)
• Willing to work on weekends, if needed, for storm damage and other emergencies
• Able to operate and maintain necessary tools and equipment
• Help enforce safety practices for all crew members
• Report punctually each day prepared to work
• Able to think critically and use discretion to ensure jobs get completed in a safe and efficient manner
• Learn to properly identify trees and bushes
• Able to perform other tasks as required or assigned

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• CDL is not required but must be willing to obtain
• Able to lift more than 50 pounds on a frequent basis
