Groundskeeper Skilled BG01 (1st Shift) - Berry St Plant

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall physical appearance of the premises.
• Maintain the premises of the plant.
• Operate a forklift (certification required).
• Weed‑eat, trim, and pull weeds as needed to keep the property tidy.
• Empty trash bins outside and pick up loose trash.
• Lift loads ranging from 5 to 70 pounds.
• Perform chemical loading and unloading (training required).
• Carry out spill control duties (training required).
• Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor, including off‑al duties.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in groundskeeping, lawn maintenance, or landscaping (preferred).
• Small‑engine repair knowledge is helpful.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Chemical handling and SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) training.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasionally inside the facility.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
• Willingness to work variable days, hours, and frequent weekends.

Driver Requirements

• Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• No DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months.

Other Duties

• Follow supervisor’s instructions at the wastewater area.

Environment

Work is primarily outdoors and subject to weather conditions, with occasional indoor assignments as directed. The role involves standing and walking for the majority of the shift to keep grounds clean and orderly, handling chemicals, and performing tasks that may vary in days, hours, and include frequent weekend work.

Pay

$17.15 per hour
