About the role

Performs duties required for the position using good safety workmanship. Follows the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, Lead person or Department Head in completing assigned work. Performs all activities using good safety practices. Operates district vehicles when needed using good safety practices. Operates hand/power equipment required in the craft. Maintains tools, equipment, and supplies assigned. Requests supervisory assistance in areas in which expertise is lacking. Selects and uses the proper tools and equipment required for the assigned work. Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Complies with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
• Operates district vehicles when needed using good safety practices.
• Maintains tools, equipment, and supplies assigned.
• Selects and uses the proper tools and equipment required for the assigned work.
• Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) preferred.
• One (1) year of directly related experience.
• Basic literacy, including command of the English language.
• Must possess the physical ability to meet the requirements of the position.
• Knowledge of District organizations and operations as required.
• Dependable work experience preferred.
• Must maintain a Texas Driver's License that meets Dallas ISD standards.
• Must be able to pass the Dallas ISD random drug test.

• Minimum Salary without Driver's License: $21.02
