Key Responsibilities
- Mow, rake, water, and fertilize lawns.
- Plant, transplant, water, fertilize, and trim flowers and shrubs.
- Aid with general maintenance of sprinkler systems.
- Aid with preventative maintenance of lawnmowers, snow blowers, and other small groundskeeping equipment.
- May apply herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, and other chemical compounds.
- Lead other groundskeepers in functional supervisory roles.
- Remove snow.
- Acts as an expert resource for management, co-workers and others; provides support within area of responsibility, provides consultation and/or expert advice, makes recommendations, gives appropriate advice, and/or facilitates decisions.
- The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as digging, shoveling, planting, trimming, climbing, lifting heavy objects, crouching, or crawling.
Qualifications
- The Ideal Candidate Will Have The ability to lift 50 lbs.
- The ability to operate a variety of hand tools and automotive equipment.
- Preference may be given to applicant who have:
- 3 years of experience in landscaping and grounds care.
- 1 year of experience using pesticides/herbicides.
- 1 year of experience with irrigation systems.
- A Utah Pesticide Applicator's license. (If the selected applicant does not have this license, they will be expected to earn one within 6 months of hire.)
- Reside within 50 miles or 1 hour travel time to our location.

Working Conditions
Risks which require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals, etc.
Physical Requirements
The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas. Must be available for On-Call. Must have (or be able to get) a valid driver's license.
