Groundskeeper

Summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of the YellaWood® brand pressure‑treated pine, is seeking a Groundskeeper. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of bathrooms, breakrooms, and production areas. The position is full‑time and includes competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Essential Duties

• Plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing faucets)
• Electrical repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs)
• Carpentry work (e.g., basic framing, installing shelves, repairing doors and windows)
• Painting and drywall repair
• Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
• Minor HVAC maintenance (e.g., changing filters)
• Floor repairs (e.g., tile, laminate)
• General building maintenance
• Perform routine grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizing lawns
• Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping elements
• Remove weeds, leaves, and debris from lawns, walkways, parking areas, and other exterior spaces
• Maintain the cleanliness of sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots through sweeping, blowing, and other methods
• Assist with snow removal and ice control, including shoveling, plowing (if applicable), and applying de‑icing agents
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on grounds‑keeping equipment, such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
• Monitor the property for safety hazards and report them to the appropriate personnel
• Dispose of waste and recyclables properly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage sheds or maintenance rooms

Education and Experience

• No prior experience or training required
• High school diploma preferred
