Groundskeeper (1171 - Hilliard, Ohio)

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for keeping the community clean and neat, including offices, models, clubhouse, lobbies, laundry room, common areas, and grounds. All duties are performed with the highest consideration for safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily time periods for:
  • Cleaning of common areas
  • Cleaning of vacant apartments
  • Policing of grounds
  • Grounds maintenance
• Notify supervisor upon completion of work to ensure it meets Drucker + Falk standards.
• Maintain accurate records of time worked.
• Request necessary supplies through the Maintenance Superintendent/Property Manager without overstocking.
• Report any defects or deficiencies noted during work for necessary repairs.
• Maintain high standards of resident relations.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent or Property Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Duties performed both indoors and outdoors, including in extreme temperatures below 32°F and above 100°F.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
• Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, high/precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, extreme cold/heat, and vibration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to taste or smell.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
