Posting Details Position Information Summary Position Title Grounds Worker Job Summary The Grounds Worker is responsible in the assistance in the maintenance of the grounds and landscaping of the college. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Ability to apply principles of rational systems, (i.e. internal combustion engines, electric wiring systems, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables)Demonstrate clear and effective written and verbal communication skillsProvide strong and clear communication, customer service, and inter-personal skillsAbility to work independentlyAble to cooperatively work with diverse groups of students and staff Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent1-3 years’ experience related to general grounds and landscaping maintenance Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Work is normally performed in an outdoor setting and when necessary, in an indoor setting; this position requires reach, standing, walking, repetitive motions for the appropriate maintenance of the groundsThis position has activity that requires the incumbent to lift 50lbs on occasions; 20lbs frequently, and 10lbs consistently.
