Grounds Specialist - Ft Meyers, FL /Sopra

About the role

The Grounds Specialist maintains the physical aspects of the property, including the grounds, common areas, and amenities. This position also assists the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager by performing general maintenance and repairs for the assigned property and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Walk the property throughout the day and remove litter, debris, and pet droppings from all areas, including breezeways, pools, grounds, and common areas.
• Remove trash and recyclables within the office and maintain trash areas according to the agreed‑upon schedule.
• Check and log pool levels daily and vacuum pools weekly.
• Clean and assist with upkeep of the facilities by performing general labor duties.
• Clean and maintain grills, inspecting timers and knobs to ensure safety.

Requirements

• One or more years of general labor job experience is preferred; multifamily experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is preferred.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, cleaning supplies, and other equipment needed for the role.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills via all communication channels.
• Ability to lift tools, equipment, and other items in the unit (approximately 50 lb).
• Willingness to work over 40 hours per week as business needs deem appropriate.
