Grounds Maintenance

About the Role

Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable, hardworking Property & Lawn Maintenance Technician to maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of several company property locations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can operate lawn and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate zero-turn commercial mowers to maintain lawns and landscaped areas.
• Perform weed eating/string trimming around buildings, sidewalks, curbs, fences, and other areas.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping materials as needed.
• Install and maintain mulch in landscaped areas.
• Rake leaves, grass clippings, and other lawn debris.
• Perform spraying applications as needed for lawn and landscape maintenance, following all applicable safety requirements.
• Complete general property clean-up and grounds maintenance.
• Remove weeds and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
• Trim and maintain landscaping around multiple company locations.
• Pick up litter and keep exterior areas clean and presentable.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance and preparation.
• Maintain and properly care for lawn and landscaping equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• Previous lawn care, landscaping, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience operating a zero-turn mower required/preferred.
• Experience with weed eaters/string trimmers and other lawn maintenance equipment.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain outdoor power equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple property locations.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, professional-looking properties.
• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, raking, and operating equipment for extended periods.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with ability to work overtime as needed. This is a 30-day contract-to-hire position.
