Role And Responsibilities

• Aid the Field Superintendent with daily field maintenance tasks such as clay and infield maintenance, mowing, edging, sodding, cultural practices, fertilizer and chemical applications, irrigation repair, and other duties as assigned.
• Prepare the field for games by performing tasks like chalking, dragging, painting home plate and mound, watering the infield, adding conditioner when necessary, and cleaning bases.
• Maintain the workshop, equipment, warning track, bullpens, and field.
• Assist with rain-related activities such as pulling tarps for the mound, home plate, and large infield areas.
• Support batting practice setup and teardown, including laying down protective mats, staging necessary screens, and assisting with the large batting cage.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of non-baseball events held at Polar Park.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Physical stamina for walking and standing for extended periods.
• Tolerance to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds.
