Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Groundperson.

Job Duties

• Controls lowering ropes, limbs, and persons from aloft
• Sets up and supplies tools for tree workers
• Controls road and sidewalk traffic using warning devices and other methods
• Cuts, chips, and loads brush and wood
• Performs proper job site cleanup

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license preferred and may be required, depending on job requirements
• Experience in Line Clearance as a Groundperson required
• Certificates and licenses as necessary (e.g., pesticide license, herbicide license, line clearance certification)
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
