Groundman-Roane Co. Quarry

Responsibilities

• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations
• Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times
• Reporting equipment problems and identifying them to management
• Performing light maintenance work and maintaining the belt lines
• Completing equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
• Aiding other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions
• Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
• Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned
• Able to learn quickly
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime
