Responsibilities

• Assist aerial or underground crews with equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools at job sites.
• Operate basic construction tools and equipment according to established procedures.
• Set up and maintain safety perimeters and traffic control measures.
• Absorb and communicate effectively with crew leads regarding task completion and challenges.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support digging, trenching, and other ground preparation tasks.
• Assist with pole setting and aerial line work from the ground.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Document material usage and basic work activities as directed.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic construction safety training preferred.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in construction or related field. Valid driver's license required.
• Experience: Experience with basic hand and power tools preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to handle or feet; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and crawl; lift up to 75 lbs; maintain all safety expectations.
