Ground Systems Engineer – Senior

About the role

MTSI is seeking a senior Ground System Engineer to support the development of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing, designing, building, and integrating space system software, particularly for ground systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO).
• Work in a small, highly empowered team where each member is directly responsible for the success of the program.
• Engage in engineering responsibilities across various domains such as ground antenna networks, satellite scheduling applications, antenna network capability testing, satellite launch and on-orbit operations, and RF Spectrum.
• Evaluate current processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to optimize workflows and outcomes related to planning, scheduling, control, status, and telemetry/command data flows.
• Support and manage antenna scheduling teams to report progress to the Government and provide recommendations.
