Ground Support Equipment Mechanic - Full-Time

About the Role

As a GSE Mechanic, you will troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul ground support equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, transmission systems, and diesel engines. You will work on equipment such as FMC container loaders, ground power units, hydrant fuelers, tanker trucks, forklifts, and fabricate parts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair ground equipment electrical and hydraulic systems
• Overhaul automatic transmissions
• Repair and fabricate parts for ground support equipment

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in automotive or a related field
• Troubleshooting skills in electrical, hydraulic, and transmission systems
• Knowledge of welding, auto body/paint, and diesel engine repair
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and operating vehicles
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge)

Qualifications

• Technical trade school education (preferred)
• ASE certification (preferred)
• Airline experience (preferred)
