THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented Level 2 Ground Software Engineer with an active Final Top Secret security clearance to work from our Littleton, CO location.

As a Ground Software Engineer, you will design, implement, test, and maintain object-oriented ground system software applications using Java, C#, Rust, Angular, Python
Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology
Selected candidates will be required to possess Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI eligibility (i.e. TS/SCI) prior to starting employment.

This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level 2) CAREER ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Desired Skills

Meaningful experience designing and implementing software solutions using the following technologies: Java, C#, Rust, Python, Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, ELK Stack/OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, Helm, Kubernetes
Cloud/containerization experience with a good understanding of distributed systems and designing for scalability
Experience developing ground subsystems
Experience developing microservices
Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration
Working knowledge of DevSecOps Pipelines
Excellent understanding of Agile Methodologies as they relate to the Scaled Agile Framework
Experience with Agile, automated test, CI/CD, and regression testing
Committed with strong problem-solving skills applied to software engineering solutions
Previous experience delivering highly reliable Communications / Ground subsystems
