GROUND OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
About the role
Alpine Tree Service is a high-growth, full-service tree care company serving residential and commercial clients across New Jersey. We operate with a focus on safety, professionalism, and execution — following ANSI standards and delivering a premium customer experience. We are building a team of professionals, not just workers.
The Ground Operations Specialist supports Alpine's crews on residential and commercial job sites — assisting with removals, pruning, rigging, equipment setup, and cleanup. This is a hands-on entry point into the green industry, with full on-the-job training provided. No prior tree experience is required.
Responsibilities
On a typical day, you'll work alongside Alpine's crews on tasks that may include:
- Tree pruning and removals
- Rigging and ground operations
- Equipment operation and job site setup
- Planting and landscape support
- Job site cleanup and safety procedures
- Working alongside crews on residential and commercial properties
How We Operate
This is an entry point into the green industry, but we hold all our team members to a high standard. Here's what that looks like in practice:
- Think Ahead to Solve Problems: Don't wait to be told what to grab next or where the brush is going. Read the job site, anticipate what the crew needs, and move before someone has to ask.
- Actively Seek Knowledge: Ask questions on every job. Watch how the climbers rig, how the operators set up, how the crew leads run the site. The people who promote fastest at Alpine are the ones who learn fastest.
- Be Adaptable: No two job sites are the same. Weather changes, plans change, trees do unexpected things. The people who do well here roll with it and keep moving.
- Loyalty to the Team: Show up on time. Pull your weight. Have your crew's back. The crew runs on trust — earn yours.
- Have the Motivation to Be the Best: Take pride in your work. Bring your best every day. The people who put in real effort at Alpine see their careers grow fast.

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
