Ground Handler
About the role
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Ground Handler Tier 1 to join a fast-paced fulfillment and drone delivery operation in Crosby, TX. This is an active, operational role where you will be directly involved in the day-to-day movement of customer orders—from picking and packing through quality control and loading packages onto delivery aircraft. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in retail, warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, or other fast-paced operations who enjoys working on their feet and is interested in developing their leadership skills. In addition to performing core operational duties, you will have opportunities to support the Operations Team Lead and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities
As a Ground Handler Tier 1, you will:
- Pick & Pack Orders: Accurately locate, pick, and pack customer orders according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform Quality Control: Complete weight, accuracy, and quality checks to ensure orders meet operational requirements before delivery.
- Load Delivery Aircraft: Safely and securely load approved packages onto delivery aircraft while following all required safety procedures.
- Prepare the Site for Operations: Assist with morning setup and ensure the operational area is clean, organized, safe, and ready for daily activity.
- Support Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Maintain Equipment: Handle operational equipment carefully and report equipment, safety, or maintenance concerns.
- Support Team Leadership: Assist the Operations Team Lead with daily activities and help maintain an efficient workflow during busy periods.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Follow all safety policies, SOPs, and operational procedures while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment such as retail, warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, or similar operations
- Experience with picking, packing, inventory, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or other operational processes is helpful but not required for candidates with transferable experience
Leadership Potential
- Strong desire to grow into additional leadership responsibilities
- Previous experience training, coaching, mentoring, or supporting coworkers is a plus
- Comfortable taking initiative and leading by example
Supply Chain & Operational Knowledge
- General understanding of warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or supply chain processes
- Exposure to performance metrics such as order accuracy, cycle times, productivity, or throughput is preferred
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
Communication & Safety
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-moving environment
- Safety-focused mindset and willingness to follow detailed procedures and SOPs
Physical & work environment requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Stand and remain active for extended periods
- Comfortably lift and handle items weighing up to 35 lbs
- Perform repetitive picking, packing, loading, and inventory-related activities
- Work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
Schedule
This position requires schedule flexibility. Candidates must be available to work within the operating window of 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM, 7 days per week. Employees will work up to 40 hours per week based on the assigned schedule and operational needs. Weekend availability may be required. Adherence to assigned work hours is essential for this operation.
