This position is with Diversified Applications, Inc. (DAI), our aerial application business, which aims to become the leader in the agricultural aviation industry.
About the Role
Members of the Ground Crew prepare and load chemicals into aircraft for our aerial application business.
Responsibilities
- Blends and loads all chemical mixes prior to each load/flight.
- Maintains a clean aircraft.
- Maintains general awareness of inventory and fuel levels for the leader.
- Maintains cleanliness in hangar/loadout areas.
- Works very early mornings as required.
- May be required to drive a company vehicle.
- Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by your leader.
- Ensures regular and reliable attendance.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Class B CDL is required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license is required to drive a company vehicle.
- Must meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle.
- Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English is required (communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill).
Work Environment & Physical Aspects
At Helena, safety is our highest priority. The work environment for this position is primarily outdoors in all weather conditions, with exposure to outdoor elements. Potential exposures include:
- Moving equipment/mechanical parts.
- Fumes, airborne particles, and chemical/biological hazards.
- Vibrations and risk of electrical shock.
Physical requirements include:
- Using hands for various tasks, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, and standing for 8+ hours daily.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs or more.
- Reaching overhead (up to 25 lbs).
- Climbing, gripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists.
- Bending and stooping for long periods.
- Working below knee level and above shoulder level for short periods.
