Ground Control Crew Member

About the role

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Grounds Control Crew Member at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. This is a full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week. A member of the S&P 500 Index, Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials – including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt. Schedule

Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm

Pay

$27.17 per hour, plus a $0.40 per hour underground differential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Perform duties with minimum supervision
• Capable of lifting 60 pounds

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred

Skills

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical requirements

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials
