Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Ground & Control Services engineering team responsible for autonomous satellite operations
- Drive prioritization and planning across GCS projects aligning them with business goals
- Collaborate with multiple systems and program leadership to clarify requirements and priorities
- Provide architectural guidance for interfacing systems and mission-critical workflows
- Improve engineering processes including design reviews and operational readiness
- Foster a healthy on-call culture and ensure effective support for live systems
- Manage roadmap planning and resource allocation while balancing iteration with reliability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of eight years in software engineering with complex distributed systems
- At least two years of leadership experience in managing engineering teams
- Strong background in programming languages (Go, Python, C++) and architectural guidance
- Experience in deploying microservices in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes systems
- Understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and operational best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional settings
