About the role
We are looking for an experienced full-time Groomer to perform grooming services for cats and dogs, including bathing, cutting, shaving, trimming, nail trimming, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, brushing, and finishing. You will closely interact with clients and patients, provide excellent customer service, accommodate special requests, and inform owners of any health problems discovered during grooming.
Responsibilities
- Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to a variety of breed-specific standard styles
- Detangling and removing matted hair
- Drying the coat
- Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
- Trimming nails
- Cleaning the ears
- Expressing anal sacs
- Brushing teeth
Requirements
- Certification as a groomer
- Prior grooming experience
- Ability to groom large, overly excited, or frightened dogs while preventing injury
- Familiarity with animal behavior to determine techniques that keep animals calm and safe

Pay
This position is commission-based, with the Groomer setting their own schedule.
