About the role

As an experienced Groomer at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re passionate about people and their pets. You’ll provide exceptional, neighborly service while engaging with pet owners and ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons. From delighting neighbors with grooming services to developing long-term relationships with pet parents, you’ll play a key role in making pets look and feel their best.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Groom and style pets per owners’ instructions and/or according to breed standards.
• Ensure the wellness and safety of all pets in your care.
• Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
• Participate in community outreach to attract new neighbors to the store.
• Complete Safety Training certification.
• Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun and inviting grooming environment.
• Assist store team members during grooming downtime.
• Continue developing grooming skills and techniques while growing your career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Must provide your own grooming equipment (clippers, blades, scissors, etc.).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and be at least 18 years old.

This is a commission-based role. Maximum pay may vary based on hours worked and weekly completed grooming services.
