Groomer

About the role

We are looking for experienced Groomers to join our team. If you enjoy making pets look adorable and smell irresistible, this role is for you! A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for new Groomer hires with 1+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Groom and style pets per owners’ instructions and/or according to breed standards.
• Ensure the wellness and safety of furry patrons at all times.
• Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
• Engage in community outreach to attract new neighbors into our store.
• Successfully complete Safety Training certification.
• Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Assist store team members during grooming downtime.
• Continue developing skills and pet grooming techniques while growing your career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers, blades, scissors, etc.).
• Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and be 18 years or older.

Pay

Minimum USD $32,240.00 per year. Maximum USD $67,800.00 per year. This is a commission-based role, and pay may vary based on hours worked and weekly completed grooming services.
