Groomer

As a Groomer with us, you will showcase your knowledge and expertise to pet parents, recommend the best services for their fur babies, and display your grooming skills. The ideal candidate is an animal lover looking to make a difference in the lives of pets and their parents. Our number-one goal is to deliver a 5-star grooming experience. If you excel at working independently and enjoy handling animals with different temperaments, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Complete superior grooms, including bathing, brushing, blow drying, de-matting, cutting or trimming hair/fur, gland expression, teeth brushing, nail clipping and grinding, and other specialty services.
• Provide a thorough hands-on pet check-in and check-out process for each pet and pet parent.
• Positively interact with pet parents in-person, via phone, or mobile app, offering proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets.
• Create loyal, long-term relationships with pet owners.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in pet grooming.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 3+ years of dog grooming experience (preferred).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Grooming tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Passion for dog grooming and the well-being of pets.
• Knowledgeable in breed-standard grooms.
• Skills in scissoring, general cleaning, nail trimming, styling, and all other pet grooming functions.
• Willingness to learn about the products and services offered.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.
• Exceptional active-listening and customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Grooming certification preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Comfortable working with a wide variety of animals.
• Ability to work around pet hair and dander.
• Ability to lift, bend, and reach to perform job duties.

Pay

From $16 per hour + commission.
