Job Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services, including brush, clipping, hand scissoring, trim and shape dogs’ coats to groom dogs using knowledge of canine characteristic, grooming techniques and styles and owner’s instructions.
- Provide medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated shampoos and ear cleansing, as required for each pet.
- Communicate with owners and make them feel comfortable with leaving their pet(s) in our care and be able to discuss specifics of breed cuts and coat condition if specified groom is not possible due to pet’s temperament or coat condition.
- Check-in animals; assure animals receive required veterinary services if needed.
- Perform all general maintenance of grooming room; clean and disinfect cages, tubs, grooming tables at least once daily; vacuum floor; mop floor; empty trash; clean clipper blades, scissors and brushes after use; perform monthly dryer and clipper maintenance.
- Exhibit a technical knowledge of products and medications sold, including dietary products. Demonstrate the ability to explain and educate clients on products and answer their questions regarding product purchase/use.
- Congduct oneself in a confident and professional manner even when stressed and/or focused on individual tasks.

- Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Detail-oriented, outgoing, reliable and honest
- 8am-6pm availability
Physical Obligations
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Endure standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods of time
- Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment
- Take safety precautions for exposure to toxins, drugs, anesthesia and radiation
