Groom Student / Groom Tech (Bather)

About the Role

Join our pack as a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) and attend our free Paragon School of Pet Grooming to learn how to become a professional Groomer. You’ll receive paid training, a free tool kit worth over $600 upon hire, and hands-on experience with wet wagging tails and flying suds.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learn and demonstrate all skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Ensure the wellness and safety of furry patrons at all times.
• Develop long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services to keep their pets healthy and happy.
• Perform routine cleaning to maintain a fun and inviting grooming environment.
• Successfully complete Safety Training certification.
• Assist store team members during grooming downtime.

Requirements

• Experience in retail or other industries working with pets (not required).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to review videos and take tests online.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and a validated selection test.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
