Groom Student / Groom Tech (Bather)

About the role

Join our pack and attend our free Paragon School of Pet Grooming to become a Groomer. As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you’ll provide exceptional, neighborly service while learning the skills needed for pet grooming.

Upon hire, receive a free tool kit worth over $600 as a bonus for enrolling in the Paragon school if you’re looking to become a Groomer.

Responsibilities

• Delight Neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learn and demonstrate all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Ensure the wellness and safety of furry patrons at all times.
• Develop long-term relationships with Neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services to keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Successfully complete Safety Training certification.
• Assist store team members during grooming downtime.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to review videos and take tests online.
• Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Experience in retail or other industries working with pets is a plus but not required.
