Grocery Team Member

Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate and flexible person to join the Grocery team at Littleton’s Market. The grocery team member will work closely with other team members and departments to ensure the Grocery Department always looks clean, presentable and well stocked. This is a physically active position with the opportunity to work independently and in concert with the team. This position requires a team member who is comfortable interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product location to provide a positive shopping experience
• Unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, rotating products for freshness, and building displays accordingly.
• Responsible for attaining and nurturing good product knowledge to become a Subject Matter Expert for the Grocery department
• Keeping pricing posted and up to date
• Monitoring stock levels, checking for expired items, and removing damaged goods.
• Must be familiar with the order and delivery process for all products for the department
• Keeping the basement storage areas organized and bringing stock from the basement to the sales floor
• Cleaning aisles, facing shelves, bringing products to the front, and maintaining a safe, organized environment
• Participating in Sip-N-Stroll
• Following food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Utilizing proper body mechanics and proper equipment for tasks.
• Any other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Must be highly detailed oriented
• Must have ability to work quickly, safely, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull 50 pounds
• Must be able to lift, bend, crouch, etc.
• Must be able to stand or walk continuously for 6-8 hours
• Must be able to work effectively in a team setting
