Grocery Stocker

About the role

Valley Natural Foods, a community-owned cooperative in Burnsville MN, is seeking a Full-Time Center Store Customer Service team member to support their grocery department and provide outstanding service to shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Keep our Center Store shelves stocked, clean, and well-faced.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers looking for product recommendations or information.
• Rotate and check products for freshness, quality, and accurate labeling.
• Absorb and unload deliveries, stock shelves, and set up displays.
• Support the team with light cleaning, organizing, and maintaining department standards.

Requirements

• Mandatory Qualifications: Excellent time management and communication skills, able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business, regular, predictable attendance.
• Preferred Qualifications: English proficiency, familiarity with MS Office and POS systems, previous customer service experience, familiarity with natural foods, grocery industry or cooperatives.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 pounds frequently; 30-50+ pounds occasionally.
• Manual dexterity with ability to reach, grasp and utilize hands, wrists, and fingers for extended periods of time.
• General range visual acuity to evaluate and interact in working environment for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Regular exposure to working in refrigerated and frozen environments.
• Climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and bend occasionally required.

Job Details & Benefits

• Full-time: Approximately 35–40 hours/week
• Primarily afternoon and evening shifts
• Includes at least one weekend shift per week
• Flexibility to pick up additional shifts is a plus!
