About the Role
The Grocery Retail Stocker merchandises products by stocking shelves, rotating products, setting up displays, cooler stocking/rotation, backroom organization, and moving products from backroom to sales floor. You will also accurately order product for the next delivery.
Responsibilities
- Fill and merchandise all coolers, displays, racks, shelves, and/or vendors in accordance with PBV standards.
- Sell and execute all promotions.
- Create and utilize point-of-sale signage.
- Develop good customer relations.
- Service all customers as scheduled.
- Order product and/or run invoices.
- Clean equipment, maintain backroom storage in an orderly fashion, and rotate stock.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED highly preferred. Three to five years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Must meet PBV driving qualifications.
- Ability to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-starter with excellent follow-up skills.
- Customer-oriented and focused.
