Responsibilities
- Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
- Monitor all established quality assurance standards.
- Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity.
- Train DSD Receiver back up.
- Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
- Practice preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
- Adhere to food safety regulations.
- Process damaged/returned goods.
- Complete/process paperwork related to product receipt.
- Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
- Minimum: Strong attention to detail.
- Desired: Any receiving experience.
- Desired: Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).
- Desired: Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
- Desired: Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Desired: Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Desired: Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
- Desired: Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Desired: Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
