Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service.
  • Handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and provide helpful responses to customer inquiries.
  • Assist customers with product retrieval, bagging, and checkout.
  • Follow best practices for bagging items and ensure contents are not damaged.
  • Control shrink by conducting bottom of basket inspections and cart transfers.
  • Retrieve and return carts to designated areas.
  • Locate and conduct price checks for cashiers.
  • Display a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and illegal activities.
  • Collaborate with Front-end associates to promote teamwork.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must be 16 or older.
  • Minimum physical demands of the position.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
  • Ability to promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Knowledge of store layout and ability to locate products.
  • Ability to follow company shrink initiatives.
  • Ability to retrieve and return carts.
  • Ability to observe and execute a safety sweeps program.
  • Ability to report safety risks and illegal activities.
  • Ability to adhere to merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate and customer engagement rules.
