Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Handle stressful situations effectively.
- Communicate clearly and provide helpful responses to customer inquiries.
- Assist customers with product retrieval, bagging, and checkout.
- Follow best practices for bagging items and ensure contents are not damaged.
- Control shrink by conducting bottom of basket inspections and cart transfers.
- Retrieve and return carts to designated areas.
- Locate and conduct price checks for cashiers.
- Display a positive, friendly attitude.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions and illegal activities.
- Collaborate with Front-end associates to promote teamwork.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be 16 or older.
- Minimum physical demands of the position.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Ability to promote trust and respect among associates.
- Knowledge of store layout and ability to locate products.
- Ability to follow company shrink initiatives.
- Ability to retrieve and return carts.
- Ability to observe and execute a safety sweeps program.
- Ability to report safety risks and illegal activities.
- Ability to adhere to merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate and customer engagement rules.
