About the role

We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented individual to work as a Grocery Clerk in our Germantown location. This is a part-time position for 20-29 hours per week. Open availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ask customers about their needs and help them in making purchases.
• Escort customers to the appropriate aisle or shelf to assist with purchasing decisions.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean, safe, and orderly.
• Stock and replace products to avoid damages.
• Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products.
• Prepare store displays and ensure products are accurately labeled.
• Order out-of-stock products.
• Process customer orders and payments.
• Discard expired items and place near-expiry items on special promotions.

Requirements

• A commitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-op.
• Open availability preferred.
• Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, receive orders, stock and face products, and adapt to change quickly while multitasking.
• Customer service is the utmost priority; patience and a commitment to making things right are essential.
• Must be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.

Pay

$16.00 per hour
