Grocery Clerk

About the role

Grocery Clerks at Sprouts Farmers Market work across multiple departments including Dry Grocery, Dairy, and Frozen Foods. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, filling frozen food bins, maintaining store cleanliness and presentation, receiving product deliveries, verifying delivery accuracy, moving product to the sales floor using various equipment, and rotating merchandise to ensure freshness. The role is fast-paced and team-oriented.

Team Members under the age of 18 are restricted from using knives (other than safety cutters), ladders, garbage or cardboard compactors, any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and fill frozen food bins
• Maintain store cleanliness and product presentation
• Receive product deliveries and verify accuracy
• Move product to the sales floor using equipment such as pallet jacks
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• Respect others and uphold Sprouts’ culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team environment
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
• Capable of vertically/horizontally transferring boxes weighing up to 60 lbs. from 5” to 34” for up to 5 feet, for up to 25 hours per week without mechanical assistance
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations
• Ability to perform other related duties as assigned
