Grocery Clerk

Responsibilities

• Aid in transferring or double-checking customer orders onto the EMIS Grocery Order Form.
• Fill out an Order Accuracy Form for each order processed and a High Dollar Sheet when necessary.
• Pull orders accurately and package them correctly.
• Prepare grocery orders for delivery to boats, including checking milk dates and produce freshness.
• Affirm product with vendor invoices, reporting any discrepancies to the Administrative Assistant for inventory updates.
• Assist with truck deliveries and verify product details.
• Restock and rotate inventory, ensuring the oldest products are at the front of the shelves.
• Check expiration dates and clean the produce cooler daily.
• Clean the grocery warehouse as instructed and complete Health Department cleaning requirements.
• Bring pallets and milk crates from the dock to the grocery warehouse.
• Assist with cycle counts, end of month close outs, and end of year inventory as required.
• Fill in for co-workers if needed.
• Perform shift changes with relief personnel before leaving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Prior grocery stocking and inventory control experience helpful.
• Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Willingness to work in various environments, including heat, cold, rain, etc.
