Grocery Associate FT

Responsibilities

• Serves as a liaison between customers and the department manager to ensure sales and profit goals are met.
• Maintains product availability and freshness throughout the store, adhering to planograms and company standards.
• Assists customers in finding or suggesting products, providing knowledgeable and courteous service.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines.
• Monitors and reports on inventory discrepancies and ensures product quality and freshness.
• Maintains proper temperatures for perishable goods according to food safety guidelines and records temperature logs.
• Enforces safety protocols, reports unsafe conditions, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participates in safety training and educates associates on safety procedures.
• Assists with equipment maintenance and reports safety hazards to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to retail operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs occasionally.
