Griswold - 3rd shift - Companion / Caregiver / Home Health Care

About the role

The Griswold CT Companion / Caregiver / Home Health Care position is available on a 3rd shift schedule from 12 to 8am, Sunday through Saturday, with 32 hours per week. Candidates should have at least one to two years of experience working with people recovering from strokes, concussions, and/or brain injuries in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with shopping, medical/therapeutic appointments, and community entertainment activities.
• Provide companionship and assistance to clients as needed.
• Ensure clients' safety and well-being during their daily routines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans.

Requirements

• At least one to two years of experience working with people recovering from strokes, concussions, and/or brain injuries.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to manage challenging medical, physical, and behavioral needs.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Proof of driver license and insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

Skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of community resources and services.
