Key Responsibilities
- Operate grinding equipment according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Contribute to safe, accident-free operations while complying with all safety, environmental, quality, and company requirements.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections, change propane tanks as needed, and safely operate material handling equipment.
- Verify correct materials are available for processing.
- Monitor and document silo levels to ensure adequate materials are available to support production schedules.
- Process materials according to standard operating procedures.
- Transport materials to designated storage or scrap areas.
- Collect material samples and perform quality checks against established specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grinding area.
- Weigh, track, and document material transfers accurately.
- Complete required production and inventory documentation.
- Assist Maintenance and Production leadership with preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Schedule flexibility to support business needs.
Preferred
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience.
- Experience operating forklifts and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with quality inspections and production documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Safety and ability to safely operate forklifts and manufacturing equipment.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and dust exposure.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
