Grill Crewmember - Liberty Ave
About the role
The Grill Crewmember plays a crucial part in preparing and serving all grilled items and rice at Roots Natural Kitchen. This position requires loyal adherence to food safety practices and effective communication with the Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Loyally follow and successfully execute food safety practices and instructions from the Leadership Team
- Communicate any food issues or delays to a member of the Leadership Team
- Maintain a clean work station area, including grill and grill equipment, tables, and shelves
- Safely and efficiently use knives, tools, and equipment to complete preparation of grill and rice items
- Use portion control and minimize waste to keep costs within projected ranges
- Multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Open and close grill station according to restaurant standards
- Actively communicate with Leadership Team, dish, and line crewmembers
- Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude during all scheduled shifts
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment are essential.
Skills
Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and strong organizational skills are key. Knowledge of food safety practices and experience with kitchen equipment are beneficial.
