GRILL COOK (FULL TIME)

About the Role

We are hiring immediately for a full-time GRILL COOK position at Village Christian School in Sun Valley, CA. This role involves preparing food and serving customers at the grill station, ensuring high-quality food service in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation.
• Completes orders from steam tables and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Serves customers efficiently and friendly, following established steps of service.
• Ensures food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty.
• Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket-collection procedures during service.
• Maintains records from the area worked during service periods.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator safely.
• Stores foods in designated areas following standard wrapping, dating, and food safety procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Resolves customer concerns and reports relevant information to the supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous 2 to 3 years of grill cooking experience required.

Schedule

Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00 per hour to $23.00 per hour.
