About the role

We are looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to join our team as a Grill Cook at Columbus State Community College. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Deep fry, grill, and sauté meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
• Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing
• Perform food preparation work for cooking, including seasoning
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipe
• Maintain proper grill cooking temperatures
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and professional in appearance at all times
• Manage food inventory
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Encourage good customer relations through product promotion

Requirements

• Culinary experience preferred
• Exceptional food presentation skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
