Gridline Operator - 3rd Shift

About the role

Operate the grid oven, washer, conveyor conveying equipment, and tube bender within the parameters set forth by the operating manual(s). Use various fixtures and hand tools in evaporator assembly, and lift and move tools, parts, and material per prescribed methods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble partitions and evaporators
• Inspect and perform minor repair of evaporators
• Produce evaporators per Safety, Quality, and Efficiency standards
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards
• Complete all needed paperwork and use a computer
• Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Successfully complete all training required for certification in the Grid Line Operations within 2 months
• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly in a physical manufacturing environment and equipment operations
• Operate torch for solder repair
• Read and use measuring equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 41 lbs unassisted
• Ability to maneuver fixtured evaporators up to 100 lbs unassisted
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Steel-toed shoes are required on the production floor

Schedule

3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday - Friday

Pay

Starting hourly pay: $24.69/hr + $1 shift premium, with the opportunity to earn $30+ within 12 months. Opportunity for a rate increase after proficiency in certain skills and completion of training.
