Greeter - Part Time

Performs various customer service activities, including greeting customers, handling merchandise, providing information, distributing promotional materials, and supporting front-end business needs. Greeters ensure every guest feels welcomed and appreciated by delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Actively promotes programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Models brand-standard customer service by adhering to dress code (green logo shirt for Bass Pro Shops or tan logo shirt for Cabela’s), wearing a visible name badge, and maintaining a professional appearance with a smile, eye contact, and welcoming body language.
• Checks in all customers’ merchandise for returns.
• Checks in vendor representatives, completes visitor log information, and controls visitor badges.
• Informs customers about special events, sales, or promotions and provides promotional materials.
• Ensures entryway and surrounding work area remain clean, tidy, and safe for customers and staff.
• Assists with customer check-in of firearms/weapons by notifying the appropriate trained Outfitter (Greeters do not handle firearms).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.

Skills

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly walks and stands; occasionally performs computer work.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds; occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
• Constantly communicates with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeats motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally works in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements (precipitation, wind), or noisy environments.
• Light work involving constant movement and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
