What This Role Is All About Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring hotel’s standards of service. Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and maintain the cleanliness of the room at all times. Take reservations and maintain reservation book. Assist in monitoring guest needs and all phases of the operation. What You’ll Be Doing Greet and acknowledge all arriving guests, however busy and whatever time of day.Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently as specified in departmental standards.Take record and confirm restaurant reservations/ cancellations as specified in departmental standardsMaintain positive guest relations at all times.Escort guests to tables and assist in seating at tables; present menus and extend congenialities in accordance with department guidelines.Maintain complete knowledge of:Scheduled daily activities and in-house groupsDaily house countHotel extension numbersHours of operation of each outlet, ambiance, menu selections, and price rangeFeatures and services provided by the hotelMaintain complete knowledge of all menu items, specials, and items of the restaurant.Prepare station chart and assign stations to staff following departmental procedures.Set up a station with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness at all times. Report shortages to Supervisor.Inspect tables and stations, ensuring that all set-ups meet the department standards. Check throughout the meal period. Relay deficiencies to respective personnel and follow up on correctionsEnsure tables are cleaned and reset according to standardsLegibly document pertinent information in restaurant logbookTake record and relay messages in accordance with standardsPerform any other job-related duties as assigned. Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information $20.00 to $22.00 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
