We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on experience. General Purpose: As a vital role to the Golf Courses and Grounds team, a Greenskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and care of the golf courses and grounds under the supervision of the Director, Superintendents, and Assistant Superintendents. Key Responsibilities: Maintains the golf course by mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, maintaining bunkers, changing holes, trimming hedges, and performing general maintenanceOperates golf course equipment; keeps equipment fueled, oiled, and inspectedParticipates in daily setup of the golf course for playMows greens, tees, aprons, approaches, fairways, rough, and other areas of the golf courseMaintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facilityWaters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional waterRepairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as necessaryGrades and prepares soil base; lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairwaysTrims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower bedsApplies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf coursePerforms related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Minimum Qualifications: Valid driver's licenseAbility to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals may be in English) Working Conditions: Frequently uses hands Regularly stands, walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, and crawls Frequently lifts, moves, and carries up to 50 pounds; may push or pull up to 100 pounds Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditions Noise level is moderate Benefits & Other Compensation: This position includes eligibility for the following benefits, subject to applicable plan terms: Healthcare Benefits – Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageRetirement Benefits – 401(k) with employer match (19 years of age and older)Time Off – Paid time off (PTO) and leaves of absence, in accordance with applicable law and eligibility criteriaAdditional Compensation – Eligibility for Employee Meals Eligibility for benefits and the specific terms, conditions, and offerings are governed by the applicable plan of documents and company policies, which may be amended at the Company’s discretion.
