Greenskeeper

About the role

The Greenskeeper performs ground maintenance tasks on the golf course and surrounding property, including general landscaping work and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough
• Change cups and pins, move tee markers, and empty trash containers
• Prune trees and shrubs, weed flower beds, and use a weed whip in tall grass areas
• Cut, lay, and water sod
• Edge, trim, and rake bunkers
• Perform cart path repairs and improvements
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment (change oil and filters, grease moving parts, sharpen blades, check tire air pressure)
• Seed, fertilize, mulch, and maintain various grass types
• Perform other landscaping and maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements

• Skill in operating specialized golf course maintenance equipment
• Ability to lift weights up to 100 lbs
