Greenskeeper

Essential Job Functions

• Operates mechanical equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and chainsaws
• Plants trees, shrubs, turf grass and flowers and keeps a clean landscape bed
• Prunes and trims trees and shrubs
• Assists in construction of new greens, tees, fairways and bunkers by grading, preparing soil and planting
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Attends staff meetings
• Participates in other related tasks as needed

  Requirements

  • Adhere to hotel safety standards
  • Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager

  Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General Education Degree (GED)

  Physical Demands

  • Most work tasks are performed outdoors
  • Walking; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length
  • Bending, stooping, squatting and stretching on a regular basis to maintain the golf course
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
