About the role
The Greenhouse Cultivation Technician will be responsible for maintaining and operating greenhouse facilities, ensuring optimal plant growth conditions, and adhering to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate greenhouse facilities
- Monitor and adjust environmental controls (light, temperature, humidity)
- Assist with seedling production and transplanting
- Perform routine maintenance on greenhouse equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines
- Document daily activities and observations in the greenhouse
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in greenhouse operations or related field
- Knowledge of plant biology and horticulture practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Experience with greenhouse automation systems
- Knowledge of pest management and disease control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Knowledge of organic farming practices
